Livestreaming has always been popular in certain communities like gaming, but recently it's getting popular with programmers. I think it's fantastic because we all work differently, and we'd understand each other better by watching each other work. While I don't usually watch people's streams for hours, just glancing even for a few minutes is usually fun and enlightening.

I livestreamed once back in January and really enjoyed it. As someone who not only works from home, but runs his own business without any coworkers, it's a way to give me structure and interact with people. I love my current setup, and interact with clients a lot, but I want to expose my side projects more. Livestreaming might help with that, and hopefully viewers can learn from my work as well. Inspired by others, let's give it a shot!

First things first. This is a totally underwhelming announcement about something I'm working on. While I've been working on it for a long time, there's no reason to be secretive about it. I'm working on a personal budgeting app, and that's what my livestream is going to be all about. You'll watch me develop a full product from sketching out the UI to launching it. I don't want to give away all the details right now, but you'll slowly see more and more of it. We'll see how this goes.

I plan on livestreaming every Thursday at 4PM EST on my twitch channel. Relatedly, I've launched a landing page for my business at http://shiftreset.co/ which has information about the livestream as well. If you follow me on twitter I will also tweet reminders about the stream.
